Report Manager Action Buttons

The Report Manager Action Buttons are used to manage existing or create new reports. The selected report as well as the role assigned to your user profile determines the availability of some of the buttons.

Button

Description

New Report

Opens the Report Editor (Accessing the Report Editor) to create a report.

Note: If you do not have access to the Report Editor (i.e., "Create Report - Report Editor" role permission) but have access to the Question Wizard (i.e., "Create Report - Question Wizard" role permission) or the Report Designer t(i.e., Create Report - Report Designer) the New Report button will open the Question Wizard or Report Designer respectively. If you do not have permission to access the Report Editor, Question Wizard, or Report Designer, the New Report button will not be enabled.

Edit

Opens the default editor (Report Editor/Question Wizard/Report Designer) for the selected report, i.e., the editor that was last used to save or create the report, allowing you to add or modify the selected report's attributes like chart titles, field aggregations and groupings, legends, date ranges and conditions

Delete

Deletes the selected report(s)

Copy To

Creates a copy of the selected report and saves it in another folder.

Note: If the copy of the selected report is saved in a folder containing another report of the same name, the copied report will have a number attached to it's original name. I.e. Within the same folder, there may be a report titled, "FilesClosedThe electronic record created when a user submits an incident report, such as a fall or medication error, or when a patient provides feedback. Some organizations refer to files as events, reports, or cases. by Type of Peer Review", and if there is a duplicated report, it would be titled, "Files by Type of Peer Review (2)".

Note: If the targeted folder is a public folder, a user would need the "Save in Public Folder" role function. If the targeted folder is a private folder, the user would need the "Save in Others' Private Folder" role function. In addition, the user must have the "Save Reports" role function.

More

Options under the More button include:

Save As

Allows you to save an unsaved report listed in Recently run reports.

Note: If the targeted folder is a public folder, a user would need the "Save in Public Folder" role function. If the targeted folder is a private folder, the user would need the "Save in Others' Private Folder" role function. In addition, the user must have the "Save Reports" role function.

Clear Selected

Removes the selected report version(s) from Recently run reports.

Clear History

Clears all the reports in Recently run reports

Note: You will no longer be able to access unsaved reports.
