Importing Report Definitions

You can create new reports based on an existing XMLClosedExtensible Markup Language. A structured electronic file that allows you to exchange information between computer systems. report definition. Prerequisites: You must have the 'Allow Access to Report Center' and 'Import / Export Report Definitions' functions enabled for your role.

To import an XML report definition:

  1. Click the Report Center toolbar icon.
  2. In the Report Management Panel, browse to the folder to which you want to import the report.
  3. Click the More button and click Import Report. The Import Report dialog displays.
  4. Click the Choose File button to locate the XML report definition file.
  5. Locate the file on your computer or network and click Open.
  6. Enter a Report Name and a Description (optional).
  7. Click Import.
