Accessing the Question Wizard

There are many Question Wizard templates. They allow you to create reports to help analyze the files that meet the criteria you specify. Each Question Wizard looks at a different file attribute, such as event, severity and follow-up types, to name a few. The Question Wizards have a set of default conditions that must be specified, such as which date field is used (e.g., event date, reported date, closed date, etc.) and the report time frame (e.g., this week, this quarter, this calendar year, etc.). Some question wizards allow you to analyze the subject of the report by another file attribute, also known as sub-grouping; for example, view the number of files for each severity type per event type.

Prerequisites: You must have the 'Allow Access to Report Center' and 'Create Report - Question Wizard' functions enabled for your role.

To access the Question Wizards:

  1. Click the Report Center icon (not shown, see Report Center).
  2. Click the More button and click Create - Question Wizard.
  3. Choose a module. This step is only required when more than one module is licensed.
  4. Scroll through the list of Question Wizards to locate the type of report that you would like to generate.
  5. Tip: If you do not see a question wizard that suits your needs, click Report Editor to create a report from scratch (Accessing the Report Editor).
  6. Click the Report Type (Report Types) to start the wizard.
