Viewing a Patient Record

The Patient Record page brings patient details, events and surveillance files to one place. Data is grouped by tab sections. This record initially shows the current data for the patient and can be set for the last 15 days to the last 12 months. The Patient Record screen can be accessed from the Patient Search, Inbox, Patient Census and Surveillance File pages.

To view a Patient Record:

  1. Locate the patient whose record you would like to view (Patient Search ).
  2. Click the patient name link (not shown).
    The Patient Record page opens.
  3. The patient banner at the top of the screen displays patient demographic information and details such as most current registration date, most current admission date, current length of stay, isolation flag (ISO), antibiotic resistant organism flag (MDRO), and allergies. What you see depends on how your facility has set up the data feeds.
    1. Note: A dotted line around the patient banner indicates the patient is deceased.
    2. To hide/show this panel, click the Expand/Collapse button.
    3. Click Refresh to see the most recent information.
  4. Click a tab on the navigation bar to view a different page.
    The first tab you see is the Summary tab. This contains the most recent values available for vital signs, microbiology, and laboratory tests in tables.
  5. Click X (Close) or click outside of the dialog to return to the Patient Search page.
