Patient Record Banner in Infection

The patient record banner displays key information on the patient’s personal information, infections and demographics all in one place. This banner is displayed on top of the patient record which can be accessed by clicking the patient’s name in the Patient Search, Inbox and Surveillance File pages. Description

1. Addresses

 

Displays the patient’s place(s) of stay. I.e. private residence, residential nursing home, etc. This information can be updated through the Patient Events and Activities page by adding a new Patient Address EventClosedA patient or employee related occurrence which is recorded in paper or electronic format. Once recorded, an event file is reviewed by a file manager who may involve other individuals (e.g. using tasks and follow-ups features) to help investigate and resolve the event. 2. Contact Info and Alternate Patient IDs

 

Contact Info

Displays the patient's contact information and additional identification such as driver's license, passport, social security number, etc. To update this section, enter a New Patient Alternate Identifier event through the Patient Events and Activities page (See Adding New Events).

Current Location

Displays the patient's current location. To update this section, enter a New Admission for Patient event in the Admissionsection on the Patient Events and Activities page (See Adding New Events).

Registration

Displays the date and time the patient registered into the facility. To update this section, enter a New Admission for Patient event under Patient Detail on the Patient Events and Activities page (See Adding New Events).

Inpatient Admission

Displays the date and time the patient was admitted. To update this section, enter a New Admission for Patient event under Admission in the Patient Events and Activities page (See Adding New Events).

Reason Notes

Displays the reason why the patient was admitted into the facility. To update this section, enter a New Admission for Patient event in the Admissionsection in the Patient Events and Activities page (See Adding New Events).

Current LOS

Displays the patient's length of stay from their admission date until today.

Last Discharge

Displays the date and time the patient last left the facility. To update this section, enter a New Admission for Patient event under Patient Detail in the Patient Events and Activities page (See Adding New Events).

Attending

Displays the physician who is currently attending the patient. To update this information, enter a New Patient Event in the Admission section on the Patient Events and Activities Page (See Adding New Events).

4. Other Info

 

ISO Flag

Displays the contact isolation precautions that should be taken to avoid infections, diseases or germs that are spread by touching the patient or items in a room. To update this section, add an Isolation Precaution file in the patient's Surveillance File (See Accessing Surveillance File Details).

MDRO Flag

Displays the multi-drug resistant organisms that are resistant to one or more classes of antibiotics. To update this section, add a Disease or Organism file in the patient's Surveillance File (See Accessing Surveillance File Details).

5. Allergies

 

Displays the patient's allergies. To manually update this section, enter a New Clinical Risk for Patient event in the Patient Events and Activities page (See Adding New Events). .
