Navigation in RL6

Most navigation in RL6 is performed with the toolbar, which appears on the left side of the page. When an RL6 page is open, the associated icon is highlighted in green. If you have not been given access to certain areas in RL6, the corresponding icons will not be visible. The table below describes each button.

Info Center		Infection	Takes you to the Info Center where the number of files, such as admissions, laboratory, inbox items, active files, alerts, etc., are displayed, which can be used to launch related pages.
Inbox		Infection	Opens your Admission, Laboratory TestThe type of test or service that was requested. A single order may require 1 or more tests to be performed., Pharmacy and Surgical Procedure inboxes (see Inbox Event Types for details), which monitors the various hospital systems and can be used to determine if any actions are required.
New File		Risk Feedback Claims PeerReview RootCause RiskRegister	Shows the Icon Wall (see Navigating the Icon Wall for details), which allows you to create new files.
File List		Infection	Takes you to the File list (see Infection File Workflow Overview for details), where follow-ups for patients can be sorted, printed, and exported. You may also view patient details, access patient inboxes and events, navigate to the contact tracing page, and open surveillance files.
Folder Management		Risk Feedback Claims PeerReview RootCause RiskRegister Infection	Takes you to the Folder Management page (see Folders for details), which allows you to organize files and folders.
Search		Risk Feedback Claims PeerReview RootCause RiskRegister	Displays the Search Page (see Entering Search Criteria for details), which allows you to view, open, and work with files.
Search		Infection	Displays the Patient Search page (see Locating Patients for details), which allows you to locate surveillance files for all patients, current inpatients by file, or by laboratory number. This function also allows you to create and run alerts.
Report Center		Risk Feedback Claims PeerReview RootCause RiskRegister Infection	Takes you to the Report Center, where you can view, generate, and modify existing reports using the Question Wizard, and Report Editor, and Report Designer. Report Designer is not available in the Infection module. For Infection users, see The Infection Report Center for details. For all other users, see Report Center for details.
AlertsA warning that is sent out in the form of an email and/or an in-system alert notification under defined circumstances (e.g. an abnormally high number of complaints or incidents are reported, a high severity incident occurs, or when a file is ignored for a given period of time). Alerts are created by your administrator and are triggered at defined intervals (e.g. daily, weekly, monthly).		Risk Feedback Claims PeerReview RootCause RiskRegister Infection	Displays your alert notifications (see Alert Notification Management Page for details). You can open, acknowledge, delete, or snooze your alerts from this page.
Patient Census		Infection	Displays patient census for inpatients (see Viewing the Patient Census for details). You can view observations, patients, or precautions including type and open files from this page.
TasksA unit of work, such as a follow-up, review or request for information, which can be tied to a specific file. You can add, edit, delete, or mark tasks as complete from this page.

File Submission Tracker		Risk	Opens the File Submission Tracker page, which displays a list of files you have submitted. You can select a file to view additional details and any status changes. See File Submission Tracker.
