Navigating the Safety Huddle Control Center

The Safety Huddle Control Center lists all the submitted safety huddle files (grouped by safety huddle name) and allows users to submit new ones. You are permitted to see submitted safety huddle files in your domain in which one of the following requirements are met:

Prerequisites: You must have the 'File Entry' function enabled for your role.

To work with the Safety Huddle Control Center:

  1. On the left navigation toolbar, click Huddles (not shown, see Navigation in RL6).
    The Safety Huddle Control Center page opens.
  2. In the left panel, the names of the Safety Huddle definitions to which you have access are listed.
    1. To view all submitted files, create a new file of that definition or view pending submissions, click on a huddle definition.
    2. To edit a huddle definition, click the pencil icon that appears when you hover over the huddle name. This opens the Safety Huddle Configuration page.
  3. In the right panel, two tabs appear:
    1. Submitted Huddles
      1. Grid – a list of submitted files displays with the following information in columns: File ID, Status, Date (submitted), Time (submitted), Facilitator (name), Attendance (proportion/category), TasksClosedA unit of work, such as a follow-up, review or request for information, which can be tied to a specific file. (assigned).
      2. Note: Users will only see the files that are within their domain rights.
      3. Action buttons – The action buttons appear if you are a huddle participant (i.e., an invitee or attendee) and are used to start a huddle as a facilitator. The Start Today's Scheduled Huddle button appears if the current time is within the recurrence range (see Creating a Safety Huddle Definition)(see Creating a Safety Huddle Definition in the AdministratorClosedThe person in charge of managing and maintaining RL6. Guide). This button is disabled if you visit the Safety Huddle Control Center outside of the recurrence range. The Start Ad Hoc Huddle allows you to start one whether an on-schedule submission is available or not. See The Safety Huddle Submission Form for more information on submitting a huddle. The Print button allows you to open a printer-ready version of the submission form.
    2. Pending Huddle Submissions
      1. List – a list of past scheduled huddles that were not submitted
      2. Actions buttons – The Submit Now button opens the selected huddle file for submission. Huddles submitted through this process will be recorded as a late submission. The Mark as Missed button records the safety huddle as being missed and displays a text box to enter a reportable reason, e.g., "canceled due to scheduled holiday."
