Viewing the File Audit Log

The Audit Log keeps track of all activity related to the file, such as when the last time it was opened, what changes were made and who made the changes.

Note: Access to audit log is not supported in responsive management forms.

To view the file audit log:

  1. Open a file (not shown, see Navigating the File Info Center (page 1)).
  2. From the File Notification Panel, click Audits. The Audit Log dialog opens.
  3. Scroll down to view all entries.
  4. Click the [+] icon next to an entry to view the details for that event.
  5. Note: If the file was modified, the content that was changed would populate the Old Value column.
  6. Click one of the following buttons:
    1. Print – to send the audit log to a printer defined on your computer’s operating system.
    2. Export – to save the audit log as a Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheet.
    3. Close – to return to the file.
