Setting Schedule Recurrence

The Recurrence tab is used to determine when the schedule starts, how often the associated content is evaluated and if the schedule should terminate after a specified period of time. For example, you can schedule a report to be automatically generated and sent to users or an alert to be triggered every Monday at 2:00 AM.

Prerequisites: The 'Schedules', 'Create Schedules' and 'Edit Schedules' role functions must be enabled.

To use the Recurrence tab:

  1. Open the Schedule dialog by editing the schedule or creating a new one (page 1) and click the Recurrence tab.
  2. Choose a time increment. Based on your selection, additional fields appear to help tailor how frequently the schedule is triggered:
    1. Define the recurrence settings.
    2. If necessary, select the time of day when the schedule will be triggered.
  3. Note: The ...at field is required when shown.
  4. Select the Time zone in which the schedule is to occur as the user may be creating the schedule for a different time zone other than their own. The user’s time zone will be offered as a default value.
  5. Select a Start date using the calendar.
  6. Determine when (or if) the schedule should no longer be triggered:
    1. No End Date – until the schedule is manually deactivated.
    2. End After – a specified number of times. You may enter up to three digits for the number of occurrences.
    3. End By – until the selected date is reached.
  7. See other Schedule dialog tabs:
