Deleting Recipients in a Schedule

You can delete one or more recipients (individual, role or user group) at a time from a schedule.

Prerequisites: The 'Schedules', 'Edit Schedules' and 'Delete Schedules' role functions must be enabled.

To delete recipients:

  1. Go to the Recipients tab of the Schedule dialog. The grid lists all recipients (individual, role, or user group) assigned to the schedule.
  2. If the recipient was assigned to the schedule as:
    1. Individual - from the Assignment Type drop-down, choose All or Individual and then from the Advanced filter drop-down, choose All or Show Primary Only.
    2. Roles - from the Assignment Type drop-down, choose All or RoleClosedAn attribute assigned to your user profile that determines the pages and functionality to which you have access in RL6. and from the Advanced filter drop-down, choose Collapse by Assignment Type
    3. User Groups - choose All or User Groups from the Assignment Type filter and Collapse by Assignment Type from the Advanced filter.
  3. From the grid list, choose the recipients (individual, role, or user group).
  4. Click Delete.
  5. In the confirmation message that is displayed, click Yes to continue. (To cancel this operation, click No.)

The confirmation dialog closes and the selected recipients are deleted from the schedule. If no other assignment exists, the recipient(s) will no longer receive the schedule notifications. Where a recipient is assigned to the schedule under multiple assignment types, a few things may happen with "primary" status:

  • Individual assignments are, by default, "primary" record but when there are no individual assignments, either a user group or role-based assignment may be the "primary" record. If the recipient record you deleted was the "primary" record, the system will assign "primary" status to last updated role or user group-based assignment if other assignments (i.e. last added or updated role or user group-based assignment) exist.
  • If the recipient record you deleted was not the "primary" record, the user will still receive the schedule notification as a recipient under the settings of the "primary" assignment.
