Selecting a User

The Select Users dialog is used by both end users and administrators. For example, in RL6:Risk, it is used by end users to assign the file or grant access rights to another user. Administrators can use it to determine which users receive reports and alerts via email or use it to filter the audit log search results. This dialog allows you to search by user ID or by user name.

Note: Some pages, such as the schedules administrator, use an optimized user search panel. See Selecting a User for a Schedule.

To select a user:

  1. Type the value you would like to search for in one of the following fields:
    1. UserID – type the start of the User ID with which the user logs into RL6.
    2. Contains Fields – type a portion of the user’s First Name or Last Name into the Name field. You can also type a portion of the Title and DepartmentClosed values to further filter the results.
  2. If desired, uncheck option in the Include list to reduce the number of users returned (not shown).
  3. Click Search.
  4. Select the radio button next to the User ID and click OK.
