Creating Scopes

Scopes are created for each module. When adding scope definitions to a user, you can add one per module. This means that you can have one user who has access to all Risk files and only a select group of Feedback files.

To create a new scope:

  1. Access the ScopeClosedThe files to which you have access. Definitions page from the Admin Center, and select your Module from the drop-down list (not shown).
  2. Click the New action button to create a user profile from scratch (as shown).
  3. In the Scope Details dialog, enter a Scope Name (Scope Name is mandatory and must be unique for the selected module).
  4. Enter a Scope Description.
  5. Select a Scope Expression from the drop-down list:
    1. All – the user will have access to all files created in the module.
    2. None – the user will not have any access to files created in the module.
    3. Calculated – use Expression Editor (Expression Editor Overview) to create a set of conditions under which files are available to the user.
  6. (Optional) Enter any details about changes to the scope in the Notes field.
  7. (Optional) Click the View Audit Log button to check the activity of existing fields. See Audit Log Entries for more information.
  8. Click OK to save your changes.
