HTML Editor

In memo fields, which are the largest fields on the form used to enter descriptions, you can format the text using the HTML Editor. This functionality is similar to how you apply formatting in a desktop publishing program, such as Microsoft Word®.

Note: HTML Editor tool is not available for memo fields in responsive forms.

Navigating the HTML Editor

  1. Opening the HTML Editor – double click inside of a memo field. The HTML Editor appears in a dialog box.
  2. Viewing Tool-Tips – if you are unsure of a button’s function, hover over the button to view its description in a Tool-tipClosedAdditional information that appears next to the cursor when it is placed over a page element, such as an image or button..
  3. Redacting Text – highlight the text you would like to redact from the file when its current or original summary is printed or emailed; then select the text with which it should be replaced from the Tagsfield. Redacted text appears in red with underline formatting. See Redacting Sensitive Data with Tags in a Memo Field.
  4. Applying Formatting – highlight the text you would like to apply the formatting to and click one or more formatting options. In this example, both Italics have been applied to the text wrong medication.
  5. Character Count - this shows the character count for the field values in plain text and HTML (including mark up which is not visible).
  6. Returning to the Form – click OK to save your changes and return to the form.

Note: For information on the Tags option, see Redacting Sensitive Data with Tags in a Memo Field. This activity is typically done in RL6:Risk and RL6:Feedback by file managers.
