Running Reports from the Report Editor

The two buttons at the bottom of the Report Editor page are used to generate the report. When creating a new report, only the Run Report button is active. When you have opened an existing report in the Editor, the Save as New Report and Run button is also active. In both cases, required fields must be completed in order to generate the report.

Note: The time zones set in files that are used in reports will affect the results appearing in the report .

To run reports from the Wizard:

  1. Run Report – when you create a new report, this button both saves and generates the report. For existing reports, this button updates the report with your changes and then generates it. If you have changed the Title, shown in this example, a dialog displays:
    1. Yes – to update the report’s title.
    2. No – to cancel your action and return to the Report Editor.
  2. Save as New Report and Run – when editing an existing report, use this button to save the report with a new name and generate it. To use this button, you must change the report Title; otherwise, a message appears to let you know that the title has already existed and must be changed before it can be saved.
