Selecting the Date Range

The Date Range section is used to define the date range for the report and which field is used when evaluating files (e.g., the date the surveillance file was created, when the organism, disease or infection was classified, when the isolation precautions went into effect, etc). The Time Period options are based on the ContextClosedThe type of records that will be examined for reporting purposes, such as surveillance files, surgical procedures, central line insertions, etc. The values contained in other reporting drop-down lists change based upon the selected Context. that was selected in the Show section (Defining Report Data).

To select the date ranges:

  1. Access the Report Editor (not shown, see Creating and Modifying Reports) and expand the Date Range section.
  2. In the Time Period field, select the date field used to evaluate the records.

  4. If the report should be viewed and modified by other RL6:Infection users, check the Public box. This provides a way to publish report templates to users who can then modify and save the report with a new name for their own purposes.
  5. If you have finished the configurations, click Run Report to save and view the report.
