Adding Grid Details

In the surveillance file, the Infection Related Outcome and File sections contain grids that are used to enter your findings. These grids have the same general functionality. In the example below, an organism will be added to the file:

To add grid details:

1. Open a file (not shown, see Accessing Surveillance File Details).
2. Locate the grid to which you would like to add details and click the Add link. Two examples are shown here:
   1. Disease or Organism – five fields (Disease or Organism Fields) are used to identify the disease or organism details for the file.
   2. Classification – seven fields are used to classify the file.
3. At a minimum, complete the required fields. For instructions on editing grid entries, see Surveillance File Entries.
4. Click OK. A new row appears in the grid.
5. Click Save (not shown).
