Comment Fields

A lot of important infection control information does not necessarily need to be categorized in selections and drop-down lists. RL6:Infection provides the ability to record a journal relating to the patient's progress. This journal is presented as a reference to be able to share information between IPs and between admissions of the patient:

• Comments will keep accumulating for as long as they are recorded against the file.
• Comments cannot be deleted but the comment can be modified by the original reviewer any number of times.
• Each IP1. Internet Protocol 2. (For Infection) Infection Practitioner. An individual works to reduce the acquisition of healthcare-associated infections in patients, residents and staff at a healthcare organization. can edit only their own comments. This is to encourage collaboration between IPs rather than providing the ability to overwrite comments made by other people.
• If a comment needs to be deleted, simply overwrite the text with a reason why the comment is no longer relevant (e.g., “Comment recorded against the wrong patient”).

Field	Description
Comment	A description, observation or comment about the patient or progress.
Last Modified	The date and time the review was last updated by the person who recorded the review.
Recorded By	The username of the person recording the review.
Review Date	The date the review took place.
