Acquisition Location Fields

The acquisition location grid contains specific details about where the patient was when they acquired their infection. This only relates to healthcare acquired infections and helps identify problem areas within the hospital.

In some instances it may not be possible to identify the exact location so to cover this, only specify down to a level of reasonable certainty. It may be possible to only record a Facility and Point Of Care, for example, as any further detail might be mere speculation.
