Adding Associated Criteria

In the surveillance file, the Associated Criteria grid is used to collect information regarding the admission, antibiotics received by the patient, medical devices in use, minor procedures and more. In the example below, criteria from several categories will be added to the file:

To add associated criteria:

  1. Open a file and locate the Associated Criteria grid.
  2. Click the Add/Edit Associated Criteria link.
  3. If necessary, use the scroll boxes to view all the categories or the values within.
  4. For criteria that you wish to show in the file, select Yes or No. When N/A is selected, the value will not appear in the grid.
  5. Click OK. New rows appears in the grid.
  6. Be sure to save the file to keep the additions or edits you made to this grid.
