Isolation Precaution Fields

The isolation precaution grid records a history of the isolation precautions of the patient. Multiple precautions may be associated with the a file because the patient may require different types of precautions. Active isolation precautions are indicated with a red exclamation mark icon wherever a file summary is displayed:

Field	Description
Precaution Type	The specific class of precaution being recorded.
Level	An optional level indicating specifics about the precaution.
Commenced	The date from which the precaution is effective.
Review On	The date the precaution appropriateness should be reviewed.
Ceased	The date the precaution ended. Note: When an isolated patient is discharged, this date is automatically populated.
Comment	Any specific details about the precaution and the reason it was used.
