Deleting Alert Notifications

Some users may prefer to delete notifications rather than acknowledge them. When deleted, the notification is removed from the database. The elements associated with the notification, on the other hand, remain. The email notification can still be retrieved from your email program, for example, and the files that caused the alert to trigger a notification remain on your blacklist.

Prerequisites: You must have the 'In-System Alert Notifications' and 'Delete' functions enabled for your role.

To delete alert notifications:

1. Go to the Alert Notification Management page (page 1).
2. Locate the alert notifications you would like to delete (not shown).
3. Check the boxes next to the alert notifications you would like to delete.
4. Click Delete.
5. Caution! Deleting the alert notification permanently removes the record from the database.
5. Click OK orYes to confirm.
