Managing Alerts

The Alert Management page allows administrators to create, schedule and manage in-system alerts and email notifications.

Prerequisite: You must have the 'Admin - AlertsClosedA warning that is sent out in the form of an email and/or an in-system alert notification under defined circumstances (e.g. an abnormally high number of complaints or incidents are reported, a high severity incident occurs, or when a file is ignored for a given period of time). Alerts are created by your administrator and are triggered at defined intervals (e.g. daily, weekly, monthly).' and 'Create Alerts' or 'Edit Alerts' functions enabled for your role.

To manage alerts:

  1. Click the Logged in as menu and click Admin Center (not shown).
  2. Under the Alerts section, click Alert Management (not shown). The Alert Management page appears.
  3. Click New to create an alert (page 1).
  4. Check the box next to an alert to activate the following buttons:
    1. Edit to view or modify alert details (page 1).
    2. Copy to create a new alert based on an existing one (page 1).
    3. Delete to remove the selected records from the list. You must click OK to confirm the deletion.
    4. Note: If multiple boxes are selected, only the Delete link remains active.
    5. Prerequisites: You must have the 'Delete Alerts' function enabled for your role.
    6. Add to Schedule to add the alert to a schedule (page 1).
    7. Prerequisites: You must have the 'Add Alerts to Schedules' function enabled for your role.
    8. View Notifications to show the in-system notifications generated for all users. .View Notifications to show the in-system notifications generated for all users (page 1).
    9. Prerequisites: You must have the 'In-System Alert Notifications' function enabled for your role.
    10. View Emails to view and modify email alerts sent to users (page 1).
    11. Prerequisites: You must have the 'In-System Alert Notifications' function enabled for your role.
  5. Use the Filter and Reset Filter links to locate specific records (page 1).
