Exporting an Alert View to CSV

Prerequisites: You must have the 'In-System Alert Notifications' and 'Grid Export' functions enabled for your role.

You can export a list of tasks within a View to a CSVClosedA Comma Separated Values file. Each row in the file represents a record. When opened in Microsoft Excel®, each value appears in its own cell; when opened in Notepad®, however, the record’s values are separated by commas. file by performing the following actions:

  1. On the Alert Notification Management page, select a view (e.g. All States). (page 1)
  2. Click the Settings icon and choose Export. The system creates a file name that contains the name of the view and current date, e.g. All States_20160812
  3. Save the file to your directory. When you open the CSV file, the content appears in the same column format as the View grid (not shown)

    Note: The system exports all tasks displayed in the Views grid, which is determined by the maximum number defined for search results in the MAX_SEARCH_RESULT_COUNT general system parameter. See General System Parameters List.
