Creating an Alert Personal View

In addition to using the system views to manage your alerts, you can create personal views tailored to suit your needs. Personal views can be configured to show alerts for a specific module, state, and type.

Prerequisites: You must have the 'In-System Alert Notifications' and 'Search' functions enabled for your role.

To create a personal view in the AlertsClosedA warning that is sent out in the form of an email and/or an in-system alert notification under defined circumstances (e.g. an abnormally high number of complaints or incidents are reported, a high severity incident occurs, or when a file is ignored for a given period of time). Alerts are created by your administrator and are triggered at defined intervals (e.g. daily, weekly, monthly). Notification page:

  1. Access the Alert Notification Management page (page 1).
  2. From the Views panel, click on the Settings icon and choose New (not shown). The Properties dialog displays the Settings tab.
  3. Tip: You can also create a new personal view by copying an existing system or personal view. Select the view and then, from the Settings menu, choose Copy. Make changes as required.
  4. From the Module drop-down, choose the module.
  5. In the Caption field, enter a name for your personal view.
  6. Note: Invalid characters for the Caption field are {}<>[],*&^$#@^!~`
  7. (Optional) In the Page Size field, choose an option to determine the maximum number of alerts to be displayed in the View.
  8. Click the Filters tab and specify the Alert State(s) and Alert Type(s).
  9. Click the Columns tab to determine the sort order for alerts (page 1).
  10. Click Save.
