Patient Cards

The patient card is a read-only display of patient information and appears in Patient Center search results. From the search results page, it displays basic information to assist with verification, such as MRN, Date of Birth, Gender and Address and Phone.

The expanded card displays the following additional information for the patient:

  1. Admission – latest admission date (format defined by the SHORT_DATE_FORMAT general system parameter)
  2. Discharge – latest discharge date (format defined by the SHORT_DATE_FORMAT general system parameter)
  3. Note: If the patient is currently admitted, location details will be displayed instead of Discharge Date.
  4. Location – patient's current location (based on HL7ClosedHealth Level-7 is an international set of open standards used to format data and content, allowing different health information systems to easily and effectively communicate with one another. ADTClosedAdmission, Discharge and Transfer data. transactions) to help identify where they can be found in the hospital. If all required information is available, you will see the patient’s Facility, Room and Bed. If any details are unavailable, “N/S” (not supplied) will be displayed
  5. Note: If the patient has already been discharged, location information will be suppressed.
  6. FilesClosedThe electronic record created when a user submits an incident report, such as a fall or medication error, or when a patient provides feedback.   7. Note: The list of files returned may be affected by the filter criteria defined by your administrator (Creating File History Filters).
  8. Allergies – displays any recorded allergies, in decreasing order of severity. Severities are indicated on a scale of 1 to 3 circles (mild, moderate and severe, respectively). If the severity is unknown, the scale will not be displayed.
