Modifying Values in the Pick List

Once the Pick List details have been defined, you can add or modify the values that appear within. Using Expression Editor, you can determine when the values appear in the list. For example, you may decide to display a value only if a specific item was selected from another pick list.

To add values to a pick list:

  1. Locate the pick list you want to edit (not shown, see Configuring Pick Lists) and click Edit. Pick listClosedA predefined list of options from which a user can select to populate a field. details and values are shown.
  2. Click Add to create a new row after the selected value or select an existing value and click Edit to edit it.
  3. Tip: To add a new item after a specific value, check that item’s box and click Add.
  4. Complete fields in Pick List Values table:
    1. Type the Value that should appear in the list.For RL6:Infection, this value will be stored in the database. It also appears in parenthesis in the drop-down list.
    2. If desired, enter a Description. This will appear in a help bubble when the user hovers over the entry.For RL6:Infection, this forms the first portion of the value.
    3. Enter the Group if you would like to enable streamlined constraint combination creation (Adding Multiple Constraint Set Combinations).
    4. Choose a Visibility: True, False or Calculated to define an expression that determines when the value displays (Expression Editor Overview).
  5. Click OK. The new value is added.
  6. Tip: To change the visibility of more than one value, select the check boxes next to the values and click the Visibility link.
  7. Tip: To reorder the items within the list, use the Move or Cut and Paste links (Moving Pick List Items).
  8. Click Save to update the list.
