Logging in to RL6

In order to log in to RL6, a user profile must be created for you (see your RL6 administrator for details); the profile determines the pages to which you have access, the actions you can take and the data you can view. The first time you log in, your password is the same as your username. You will be prompted to change your password after you log in.

Prerequisites: Your organization determines how you will log in to RL6. Some organizations may require their users to login through a custom authentication program and then provide a list of applications to which the user has access. If this is the case at your organization, you will never see the login page described in this section. If your organization uses LDAPClosedLightweight Directory Access Protocol is an application protocol for accessing and maintaining distributed directory information services over an Internet Protocol (IP) network. LDAP is a type of external authentication that can be used by your organization to maintain your login and password./SAML through the RL6 login page (i.e., external authentication), a drop-down list will appear above the Username and Password fields. See your RL6 administrator if you have questions about your organization’s login procedure.

To log in to RL6:

  1. Open your web browser.
  2. Type the address for RL6 into the address bar and press Enter.
  3. Tip: See your RL6 AdministratorClosedThe person in charge of managing and maintaining RL6. to find out the address. Then create a bookmark for quick access to the login page.
  4. Type your user ID into the Username field.
  5. Type your password into the Password field.
  6. Click Login.

    If it is your first time logging in to RL6, your password is the same as your username. You will be required to change your password (page 1).

  7. Note: Some organizations enable anonymous login. Simply click Submit Anonymously to enter the system. Functionality is restricted for this user. See Logging in Anonymously for more information.
