Sending a Test Email

The Troubleshooting tab allows you to send test emails from the RL6 application when you have emails which are blocked. To send a test email:

  1. In the Email Troubleshooting page, click on the Troubleshooting tab.

  2. Review the Email Service Status (i.e. visible from Service Status Center) at the bottom of the page. If the service is up (i.e., green), go to the next step. Note: If the Email service or SMTP Server Connection is down, the email address field will not be enabled and you cannot send a test email. Check the connection settings or contact RLDatix for assistance. If the Gateway service is down, it is still possible to send a test email.

  3. In the field provided, enter an email address. Note: If entering multiple email addresses, separate each address with a semi-colon (;).

  4. Click Send. The Email Check Result displays all the email addresses to which a test email is sent. Note: You can click Clear Results to clear the emails from view.

The system will generate a hard-coded troubleshooting email and will be displayed in the email queue as the system attempts to send the test email.
