Creating a Task Personal View

In addition to using the system views to manage your tasks, you can create personal views tailored to suit your needs. Personal views can be configured to show tasks for a specific module, status, or priority.

Prerequisites: You must have the 'Personal Views' function enabled for your role.

To create a task personal view:

  1. On the Task Management page, click the Settings icon and click New. The Properties dialog displays the Settings tab.
  2. Tip: You can also select Copy from the Settings icon to create a new task personal view based on an existing personal or system view.
  3. From the Module drop-down, choose Common to create a view for all tasks not associated with any module. Select a specific module if you wish to create a view for tasks associated with submitted files.
  4. In the Caption field, enter a name for your personal view.
  5. Note: Invalid characters for the Caption field are {}<>[],*&^$#@^!~`
  6. (Optional) In the Page Size field, choose an available option to determine the maximum number of tasks to be displayed in the View.
  7. Note: The Options available are determined by the PageSize_Options General System Parameter (Common). The lowest configured parameter option is selected by default.
  8. Click the Filters tab and specify the Task Scope, Status and Priority (page 1).
  9. Click the Columns tab to change the order and visibility of task columns, and the sort order and priority of tasks (page 1).
  10. Click Save.
