Configuring an Alert Notification Message

The MessageClosedThe test results are received via a message from the client integration engine to the RL integration engine. Each message may contain one or more test results; these test results only pertain to a single order. tab allows you to configure the subject and message of the in-system alert notifications. The message body is also appended to the email message sent by the schedule (Configuring Email Messages for Schedules ). Insert variables into the message body to customize the notification and create links to the relevant files.

Prerequisites: You must have the 'Admin - AlertsClosedA warning that is sent out in the form of an email and/or an in-system alert notification under defined circumstances (e.g. an abnormally high number of complaints or incidents are reported, a high severity incident occurs, or when a file is ignored for a given period of time). Alerts are created by your administrator and are triggered at defined intervals (e.g. daily, weekly, monthly).' and 'Create Alerts' or 'Edit Alerts' functions enabled for your role.

To configure the alert notification message:

  1. Open the Alert Properties dialog (see Managing Alerts or Creating Alerts) (not shown).
  2. Click the Message tab.
  3. Enter up to 50 characters for the Subject.
  4. Modify the Message Body field, which can contain up to 1000 characters. HTML tags are not supported.
  5. Insert variables into the message body by positioning your cursor in the Message Body field and clicking:
    1. Recipient First, Recipient Last, or Recipient Title – the first name, last name and title, as defined in the user profile, of the alert recipient.
    2. Links – links to files that match the alert definition.
    3. Note: Regardless of where the {Links} variable is inserted into the message body, it will always be positioned at the bottom of the resulting notification message.
    4. Alert Name – the name of the alert.
    5. Alert Creator – first and last name of the user who created the alert.
    6. Trigger Date/Time – when the notification was generated in MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM A/P format.
  6. Select any additional details you want to include as Link variables for both email and in-system alerts.

    For RL6:Infection, there are three options: Current Location, Drug-bug Mismatch details and Isolates.

  7. Click OK to save and close the alert, or click another tab to continue configuring it.
