Accessing the Patient Inbox

The Patient Inbox cannot be accessed from the Inbox page. Use the patient menu, which appears on the FilesClosedThe electronic record created when a user submits an incident report, such as a fall or medication error, or when a patient provides feedback. Some organizations refer to files as events, reports, or cases. and Patient Search (Patient Search ) pages, to filter the various inbox events down to the patient.

To select search criteria:

  1. Locate a patient record from the Files page (Viewing and Filtering Files) or the Patient Search (Locating Patients) page. In this example, the Files page is shown.
  2. Click the Inbox link. The Inbox page opens, but only one patient is shown.
  3. If necessary, change the inbox to display the appropriate events.
