Finding Files Belonging to a Physician

Prerequisites: The 'Physician LookupA field that is used to locate records in the RL6 database, such as a location, patient name or a valid entry for the field. A lookup field is typically identified with a magnifying glass icon.' role function must be enabled and a product license is required.

To find files that may belong to a particular physician, but are not yet linked to that physician within the RL6 application:

1. On the Admin Center page, click the Physician Configuration link from the Library section (not shown).
2. On the Physician Configuration page, select a physician from those listed and click Find potential files.
3. Note: This control will only appear once a physician is selected from the list.
3. On the Potential FilesThe electronic record created when a user submits an incident report, such as a fall or medication error, or when a patient provides feedback. Some organizations refer to files as events, reports, or cases. to Associate with Physician page, select the file that appears to belong to the physician.
4. Note:  You can select more than one file to update simultaneously, but you will be unable to
   1. Click View Summary to view the file's details and ensure it is the correct one.
   2. Click Update Physician ID to add the selected physician's ID to the file.
4. Click Back to return to the Physician Configuration page.
