Managing File Interchange Jobs

When a Package is either manually or automatically executed by a schedule, a job is created. The state (File Interchange Job States) and execution status (File Interchange Job Execution Statuses) of the jobs are displayed on the File Interchange Job Control page. The state determines what action may be taken upon the job (see File Interchange Job States for details).

To manage jobs:

  1. Click the Logged in as menu and click Admin Center (not shown).
  2. Under File Interchange, click the File Interchange Job Control link (not shown).
  3. Check the box next to a job. The action buttons above the list become active.
  4. Tip: Use the Filter and Clear Filter buttons to search for specific jobs.
  5. Click one of the following buttons, if desired:
    • Execution Summary – view a list of exported file IDs in a new window.
    • Hold Job – change the status of the job(s) to Suspended. Only jobs that are InProgress can be suspended.
    • Release Job – change the status of Suspended job(s) so they can be processed.
    • Go To Package – view or edit a job’s package details in a new window.
    • Move Job to Top – move Pending jobs behind the one that is currently being processed.
    • Remove Job from Queue – delete jobs in the state Pending, Finished (not partner), Cancelled or Error job(s). Click Yes to confirm.
