File Interchange Job States

The following table describes the various job states. Some states are only relevant to a particular job type. For example, the Conversion state is only applicable for two of the three export types: XSLT or Partner. The RL-XMLClosedAn XML format based on the taxonomy in an RL6 database. export is not converted, just placed in the directory specified by the schedule.

The job has just been created. Normally you won't see this state because it quickly changes to Pending state once the job has been put into job queue.

Pending

The job is waiting to be executed.

Export

RL-XML, XSLT, Partner

The files are being exported from the RL6 database and put into RL XML format.

Receive

Import

An RL-XML is being received from external partner.

Import

FilesClosedThe electronic record created when a user submits an incident report, such as a fall or medication error, or when a patient provides feedback. Some organizations refer to files as events, reports, or cases. contained within the RL-XML are being added to the database.

Conversion

XSLT, Partner

The RL-XML file is being converted into another format, as specified by the XSLT or partner requirement.

Send

Partner

The transformed XML (or other) document is being sent to an external partner.

ReadAck

Partner

An acknowledgment file sent by external partner is being processed.

Finished

Import, RL-XML, XSLT, Partner

The job has finished processing.
