Copying a View in View Management

You can create a new view based on an existing view using the copy function. Configurations defined for the existing view will be copied over to the new view.

Prerequisites: The 'Administer Views' role function must be enabled.

To copy a view:

1. On the View Management page, locate and select the view on the grid. You can use the search field or filters to find a specific view.
2. Click Copy. The Properties dialog opens with a new record. All property settings from the selected view are copied to this new view.
3. In the Settings tab, replace the “Copied from <Name of Selected View>” name in the Caption field.
4. Modify additional settings in all tabs as required (page 1).
5. Note: The Copy option is best utilized for creating new views based on existing ones within the same module. If you select a different module, all settings and expressions will be reset to the selected module’s defaults settings.
5. Click Save.
