Administering Alerts and Tasks
AlertsA warning that is sent out in the form of an email and/or an in-system alert notification under defined circumstances (e.g. an abnormally high number of complaints or incidents are reported, a high severity incident occurs, or when a file is ignored for a given period of time). Alerts are created by your administrator and are triggered at defined intervals (e.g. daily, weekly, monthly). and tasks allow users to manage their files more effectively. Through alerts, users can be warned when a particular condition occurs, such as when an abnormally high number of complaints or incidents are reported, a high severity incident occurs or when a file is ignored for a given period of time. Setting up alerts is comprised of the following steps:
- Creating alert categories
- Creating alerts (choosing module, alert type, category, priority, view and repeat settings)
- Configuring notification messages
- Defining the conditions that trigger an alert (i.e. Content)
- Assigning it to a schedule, which provides the timing and delivery instructions: when and how often to run, who to notify if results are found and a portion of the email message. See Managing Schedules for details.
RL6:Infection users can also create alerts that monitor Inboxes for particular events, such as when a particular patient is admitted, a positive lab test is identified or a surgical procedure is performed. You will work closely with RLDatix when defining these types of alerts to ensure that the advanced query is built and tested properly before implementation.
Task emails provide notifications to users about the tasks to which they are assigned and can be configured by administrators. Task packages are predefined tasks created by administrators to be provided to users as they manage files. Task packages provide direction for users and facilitate a smooth workflow.
