Viewing the Patient Census

A patient is shown on the patient census when they are an inpatient. The patient census also can be used to view observations, patient isolation precautions, clinical risks, antimicrobials and allow for files and the patient record to be viewed and opened.

To view the patient census:

  1. To open the patient census, click on the patient census icon on the Info Center navigation bar.
    The list of patients currently at the selected location is shown.
  2. Click on a facility in the Navigate Location box to specify the patient's location. You can specify the patient's location even further, all the way to their bed number.
  3. Click on a patient’s name to view their patient record.
  4. Hover over a file number to view a list of options.
  5. Hover over the DOA date to view the reason for admission.
  6. To favorite a facility or location, click on the grey star. It will become blue once it is clicked. Your favourite location(s) will open automatically when you open the patient census.
  7. To view the number of drugs or antimicrobials a patient is on, hover over a number in the Rx column (not shown)
  8. To view observations for these patients, make selections in the Observations section. Only those observations that are checked, and only those that have been recorded in the last 24 hours, will be displayed in the chart.
