This list contains terminology for laboratory related concepts from the integration laboratory results feed or used to manage that feed. Codes that already exist in these lists should never be changed. Entries that should not be altered or altered with care as described are annotated with a red icon next to the list name(s):

LaboratoryService

Lab Inbox, Patient Record, Events

Type of laboratory test requested.

LaboratoryDiagnosticSection

Events

Section or department within the laboratory that performed the test. Used by integration to filter results or group them for translation.

LaboratoryResultStatus

Lab Inbox, Patient Record, Events

Status of the result as a whole or an individual observation.

 

LaboratoryResultAbnormalFlag

Events

Indicates if an individual observation was flagged as abnormal by the laboratory.

 

PointOfCare, Room, Bed, Building, Floor, Facility

Lab Inbox, Patient Record, File Acquisition Location, Events

The location details as supplied by the laboratory result feed. If a file has been associated with a laboratory result, the user can opt to allocate the location from that result as the acquisition location. However, the codes used by the lab result in that case must match the codes for the corresponding location in the ADTClosedAdmission, Discharge and Transfer data. feed.

Organism

Lab Inbox, Patient Record, Events

The descriptions are used by integration to identify formal organism names in the laboratory result feed. These descriptions must not be changed. New organisms can be added by the user.

OrganismAlias

Integration only

The descriptions are used by integration to identify formal organism names in the laboratory result feed. These are aliases for names in the Organism list. These descriptions must not be changed. New aliases can be added by the user with the group matching the code of a valid organism.

CultureAlertList

Integration only

Usage depends on the site and its laboratory feed translation. No changes to be made by users.

ServiceTypeFilter

Integration only

Usage depends on the site and its laboratory feed filtering requirements. No changes to be made by users.

OrganismSearch

List

Usage depends on the site and its laboratory feed filtering requirements. No changes to be made by users.

OrganismAlertList

Integration only

Phrases to force results to appear in the Lab Inbox whether it is an abnormal outcome or not. No changes to be made by users.

NegativeFilterList

Integration only

Phrases to cause result to be treated as a non-significant outcome. No changes to be made by users.

ResultIgnoreList

Integration only

Phrases to cause result to be treated as a comment. No changes to be made by users.

 

Laboratory

SensitivityStatus

Patient Record, Events

Records the type of susceptibility of an organism to a particular drug (i.e., sensitive, resistant, etc.).

Antibiotic

Patient Record, Events, Pharmacy Inbox

Used to capture the names of the drugs used to test cultures for sensitivity. Also used to match against the names of medications prescribed for the patient. Descriptions must not be changed. Additions can be made to this list.
